Sister's of the Light and Dark Screaming pain awoke the girl’s mind followed by confession. With her eyes tightly shut she wonder where she was and how had she come to be there? Her mind floated with images of what she thought was a great battle, but as hard as she tried she couldn’t remember anything clearly. The words Air’isa Darkstar echo in her head. Was that her name, it had a familiar ring to it yet was that even true she couldn’t say. The few images that were in her mind were fuzzy. She had to findout where she was. As the young human open her eyes she found there was only darkness. Was it night? Had that much time passed since she been, well, she thought she might have been knocked-out or injured in the battle that floated in her mind? Is that what happen? I was injured during a battle? That would explain the pain, but it was so dark she couldn’t even make out her hands or the surrounding area. How was she going to find out where she was? Fear rose through her, she should be able to see more and if it was night the air should be cool, but the air was blistering hot and her skin was burning even the earth she laid on was hot. That could only mean that the planets sun was still out and it was still daytime. The sun, she must get out of the sun. The sun on this world could kill quickly during the day her mind told. Closer then most suns someone had told her, but who she couldn’t remember. During the high point of its path it scorched the planet burning anything that stayed out in its heat to long. Her mind flashed back to the explosion and the feeling of flying. Had her vision been damage. She had to find shelter and quickly if the sun indeed was up, but how could she without her eyes and unsure of where she was. Was she alone? She heard no movement at the least in this area. Could she be on a deserted battlefield? It fit with what she remembered. Trying to rise her body screamed with pain so intense her mind threaten to go out. Laying their unable to rise ever breath came in a painful gasp as her confession rose. To be alive was something to be thankful for if nothing else to have a chance. If indeed this was a battle many others won’t have been so luck. I must rise and find some shelter for who knows when the enemy will return ,if they would it surprised her how she knew in her bones their was an enemy. She wasn’t ready to die she must try. Trying to rise once again a painful scream erupted from her lips as she collapse back to the searing hot dirt. Pain shot from her legs and she realized they were trapped under something. Her hand search the near area for anything, but found nothing. Dizziness washed across her from her wounds and the heat of the sun bite at her skin. A gurgled help can from her cracking lips though she expect no help and soon blackness threat to take her into the un-dreaming sleep. Still unwilling to give up the human reach her hands behind her searching for what trapped her feet her fingers glazed something smooth, like metal. The warrior pulled trying to free her feet ignoring the pain, but they won’t budge. Exhausted after several more tries and from the pain she finally collapse into a world without dreams... |
